Safety measures on campus
The safety and well-being of our students, instructors and staff are our top priority. When it comes to studying safely on campus, ICM and UM strongly recommend wearing a mask when indoors on campus, especially in spaces that do not allow for distancing.
UM and ICM also encourage students, instructors, and staff to be fully vaccinated as well as get boosters. All international students in Manitoba are eligible to get vaccinated through Manitoba Health or on campus through University Health Service.
Additionally, both ICM and UM continue to ask anyone who is sick to stay home, and if you have a positive COVID-19 test, stay home for a minimum of five days. Students should contact their instructors and a Student Success Advisor to make reasonable academic arrangements if they are feeling unwell and will be staying home (section 4.8 Class Attendance in the ICM Student Handbook).
For more details on safety measures on campus, please refer to UM’s website for details on COVID-19 safety measures on campus. If you have any questions, please reach out to an ICM Student Success Advisor.
